Harlinsdale Park in Franklin Family Day October 22, 2011

Harlinsdale Park in Franklin, TN will be the site of Family Day on October 22, 2011. Harlinsdale Farm was long one of the premier Tennessee Walking Horse farms in the nation. Family Day will be hosted by Friends of Franklin Parks which is hoping to raise funds for the old Hayes House on the farm. Horse demonstrations will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. as part of the festivities.

Rescued Horses Need Assistance Today! July 5, 2011

Several malnourished horses have been seized in Middle Tennessee counties in the last few days. The horses are being cared for by or with the assistance of Volunteer Equine Advocates. These good folks need help with supplies, food for the horses, and other items or services such as farrier or veterinary care.

Please contact them to make a donation of money or supplies or offer hands-on help in caring for the horses.

The next CMCHA show is scheduled for July 16 and 17, 2011 in Lebanon, TN. The EHV-1 situation seems to be under control. Just remember to call before you haul and check with your vet if you think one of your horses could be ill. MS
